About The Role:

Security Officer

Crawley

£13.15 per hour

4 day on 4 off 4 night on 4 off
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Bidvest Noonan for Security Officers, who will work at our client's prestigious premises.

You must be able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and excellent customer service to both our clients and service users.

We require Officers to be SIA licenced -
Security Guarding/Door Supervision. The Security Officer is required to provide an efficient, effective and professional security service.

Responsibilities as a Security Officer:

Meet and Greeting of visitors/clients and Customers
Keeping reception area tidy
Keep up to date with site familiarisation
To restrict and control access using the correct protocols, to validate visits and be responsible for key and pass issue
To be proficient in the use of the onsite computer, CTV, access control and visitor management systems
To assist in implementing emergency action plans and assist with fire evacuations
To build professional working relations with onsite contractors and staff
To identify hazards, potential hazards and issues relating to security/health and safety and to take immediate remedial action if required before reporting as appropriate.
Locking and unlocking reception area
To accept and maintain approved status as a first aider and fire marshal
To use sound judgement and good interpersonal skills when dealing with members of the public and visitors to site
To support, promote and protect the business needs of the client
To participate in other duties commensurate to the role
Assist with training officers on reception area and systems
Conform to Assignment Instructions & Risk Assessments
Conform to Client process and protocols
Perform other related services

Requirements as a Security Officer:

5year checkable work/career history
Have had previous experience in the security industry.
Be physically fit in order to handle weight, equipment, people and patrol effectively by foot.
Have a calm personality and be capable of controlling difficult situations.
Be proactive, hardworking and professional by nature.
Be flexible to meet the needs of the role; including short notice shift changes.
Be able to work independently, but also as a member of a team.
Be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
Be polite, helpful and diligent
