Role Description:


This is a great opportunity for a Senior Lawyer with 5+ years PQE who is looking to take their next step in their career to build an International Practice.

The Employment team's current offering includes a range of services such as: training, coaching, hr consulting, immigration. employment tribunals litigation and general employment law advice


The international employment function is a newly created role and will require someone who can demonstrate that they have a current following as well as an ability to build new business and articulate a clear strategy to achieve financial metrics and drive forward continued growth and success of the team.


  • As part of our company model we are currently operating on a hybrid working model, however initially the individual will be required to come into the office more at the start of employment

Experience/ Attributes required:


  • Experience working in an established international employment practice and offer a client centric approach.
  • Over five years PQE working as a specialist employment lawyer
  • You will demonstrate detailed knowledge and technical expertise in dealing with complex employment law cases including contentious, noncontentious and international employment matters.
  • You will be able to present an excellent business acumen, a loyal portfolio of clients and the ability to provide practical and sound legal advice to your clients.
  • A real gogetter with a business/commercial mind, who can work well under pressure.
  • Experience using case management systems
  • Strong leadership/ mentoring skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • A following of £150k in FY
  • Strong academic history and ability to "think outside the box" and analyse

Work type:


  • Experience working in an international practice
  • Managing projects across multiple time zones and countries
  • Agreeing budgets with local and European lawyers
  • Managing projects involving multiple advisers and managing global changes to terms and conditions.
  • Advising owners, investors/ directors of businesses in relation to their employment law
  • Drafting and reviewing local and international contracts of employment.
  • Providing employment advice on international secondments.
  • Dealing with business transfers across Europe.
  • Advising on employment aspects of international workforce restructuring including redundancies, terminations, and labour relations.
  • Mentor and support more junior members of the team and develop their knowledge and skillset
  • Building a loyal portfolio of clients through business support activities
  • Providing insights you need to guide goals, budgets, and crucial business decisions
