  • We are looking to recruit Team Leaders to be part of our dynamic and energetic leadership team. It is an exciting opportunity to be part of creating a greener, more resilient and sustainable future for everyone in the North East.

You will promote our ambitions around equality, diversity and inclusion ensuring that everyone works towards creating a lifeenhancing place to work.
  • In the Environment Agency we have both technical and operational teams. All of these teams play a key part in improving the environment for the future.
  • We currently have a permanent team leader position for our Groundwater, Hydrology and Contaminated Ground Team which will be filled from this advert. We will also create a reserve list from this recruitment exercise which will be used for fill future team leader or similar roles without further advertising.
The team

  • All of our teams work collaboratively to improve and/or regulate the environment.
  • You will be based at either our Newcastle or Darlington office, however we do work flexibly and when it is appropriate you will be able to work remotely from home.
  • Please note some of our teams do need to visit sites and for those roles a driving licence is a necessity.
Experience/skills required

  • Through experience to date you will ideally be able to demonstrate some of the following:
  • The ability to manage and motivate a diverse group of people.

  • Be an excellent communicator

  • The ability to deliver high priority work through your teams.
