Within IT&T Savings and Payments Domain, we have a fixed term contract opportunity for an
IT Transformation Delivery Partner **to join our collaborative, diverse leadership team at an exciting time as we continue to deliver on our transformation plans.


You will work within the Savings and Payments Solution Delivery domain alongside Architecture, Analysis, Engineering and Agile delivery leads, and take responsibility to drive forward the strategic change agenda.


Empowered to lead and develop a team of Change Management Professionals, the role is responsible for a range of cross-functional and complex change initiatives.

You will understand how to flex delivery models and toolkits as required to enable optimal ways of working, whilst operating within a safe manner to protect YBS and its members.

Responsible for a continuous pipeline of change, from inception through to delivery, the role makes a difference every day.


This is a fixed term contract.


About the role

  • Lead the change delivery teams and play a key role in the Solutions Delivery leadership team with an understanding of the domain's value stream, helping to align largescale change alongside wider change pipelines and run activities, working together to plan effectively and avoid conflicts with technology maintenance, supporting business decisions to incorporate legacy risk reduction and continuous improvements.
  • Understand the wider landscape of change, provide clarity to stakeholders on interdependencies, potential alternative approaches and advice on the most expedient way to deliver the change
  • Ensure that all relevant commercial agreements are appropriate and in line with the agreed Delivery Model(s) and manage supplier(s) accordingly, working together with management teams to ensure contracts have appropriate resilience and sustainability for BAU teams to manage
  • Develop and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with Product/ Business teams and other key stakeholders within the domain, building solid engagements to create fluid, continuous delivery of change initiatives, supporting business colleagues to interact with IT and Transformation
  • Lead the Project Management Professionals
  • Community of Practice upskilling to provide continuous learning and improvements to ways of working, adapting to Agile and best practice techniques, seeking alignment with Product Management.

About you


You'll have strong leadership credentials and be clearly able to evidence at least 5 years experience working at a strategic level managing a complex portfolio of diverse change initiatives.

You will have programme or project management accreditation and experience (
MSP, PRINCE2, APM, AGILE), and in addition, you'll be able to demonstrate

  • Expert knowledge of structured programme and project management techniques with solid understanding of valuedriven change models, shifting methodology from Project led to Product ownership
  • Experience of managing a mixed portfolio of change, with different delivery models operating across different projects
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to identify, problemsolve, manage and resolve risk and conflicting priorities
  • Proven programme delivery track record, especially with complex £multimillion projects that have a significant degree of IT, system and Operational change
  • Evidence of continuous selflearning and the ability to role model and inspire colleagues to grow, creating high performing, diverse teams with hands on support for personal and collaborative development
  • Experience leading and managing hybrid teams that mix permanent, contract and supplier resources
  • Strong financial control, and experience of running BAU as well as project cost centres.
