About us
Condover Pre-School is a rural, charity led pre-school providing our local community with an affordable option for high quality childcare in a safe, happy and stimulating learning environment.
The pre-school assistant is required to work as a key person and as part of the pre-school team under the direction of the pre-school leader to provide safe, high quality education and care for young children.
Working under the direction of the Pre-school Leader, the applicant will be required to give support to other personnel within the setting, and liaise with parents/carers.
Further duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist with the planning of the curriculum.
- Encourage parental involvement through creating working relationships with parents/carers.
- Ensure activities are carried out in a safe and responsible manner.
- Follow all preschool policies, including thoe relating to safegaurding and confidentiality.
- Ensure that the preschool offers the highest standards of physical and emotional care, health and safety, and personal and food hygiene at all times.
- Daily interaction with children to provide range of stimulating activities to promote all areas of learning.
- Working with the preschool leader to establish an appropriate safe and secure learning environment.
- Promoting positive values, attitudes and good child behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encouraging children to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
- Having a positive approach to continuous professional development and a willingness to attend training.
- Attend staff meetings and occasional activities such as sport day and Christmas nativity which may require attendance outside normal school hours.
Essential Criteria:
- Willingness to learn.
- CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Preschool Practice, NVQ level 3 in early years childcare or equivalent.
- A satisfactory enhanced DBS check which confirms suitability to work with children.
- Previous experience of working with young children.
- Thorough knowledge of the requirements of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Job Type:

Part-time hours: 16 per week
Salary:
£11.00 per hour
