Kind Consultancy is working with a well-established Retail Financial Services business which is currently seeking a Procurement Specialist to join them in a permanent, full-time role paying up to £41,500 with a hybrid work model requiring 2 days per weekin their Newcastle office.

The Procurement Specialist works with third-party suppliers and will support the business in ensuring contracts are renewed in a timely and appropriate manner, with key responsibilities including:

  • Developping an understanding of key contractual terms and conditions to determine prioritisation of contract renewal evaluation.
  • Providing support to Business Owners to ensure that expiring contracts are renewed on time and in line with Group Policy.
  • Agreeing contract renewal strategies with Business Owners that deliver maximum value and cost efficiencies whilst also aligned to the organisation's Risk Appetite.
  • Using appropriate sourcing strategies and negotiation techniques to maximise value for money
  • Supporting Senior Procurement Manager and Procurement Manager with sourcing initiatives for contracts that are higher value and/or higher risk contracts
  • Identifying opportunities for supplier efficiencies with a particular focus on business collaboration and supplier contractual terms.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase efficiencies in procurement processes, procurement documentation and business collaboration.
  • Have detailed knowledge of the key components of the Procurement and Supplier Management Lifecycle
  • Have a proven track record of Procurement work, ideally within regulated Financial Services environments
  • Have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage challenges with a professional approach
  • Are clear and concise communicators in writing and speech with welldeveloped negotiation skills
