The Role:


Based at in Bath and support the business our client is looking for someone who is able to provide administrative support to the Head of Operations, manage all aspects of commercial lettings.


Liaising closely with team managers in the domestic, housekeeping, caretaking, catering and transport departments, you will take an efficient, proactive role in the smooth running of the Operations Department and the development of commercial activities at the School.


  • Work with the Head of Operations to create and circulate team communications;
  • Manage the Head of Operations diary and assist in the response to queries from internal and external contacts and partners;
  • Health and safety administration
  • Attend and minute meetings in relation to the various operational departments
  • Domestic
  • Catering
  • Transport.
  • Manage all commercial events, functions and conferences, including lets to third parties, to ensure that the provision meets customer expectations and budgetary targets;
  • Lead and work closely with others in the Foundation to market and sell the use of facilities, create new initiatives and maximise the use of all venues at all available times;
  • Drive the business forward, providing vision, inspiration and high professional standards;
  • Identify and communicate with new clients and advise and negotiate service provision accordingly;
  • Administration of quotes, contracts and invoices;
  • Budgetary administration;
  • Key holding responsibilities;
  • Support the Head of Operations in promoting and maintaining a robust health and safety culture
  • Manage the day to day running of the Simon Morris pavilion during termtime and during the holiday periods;
  • Manage the Pavilion room bookings;
  • Ensure the facility is set up and cleaned to a high standard;
  • Manage access control;
  • Liaise with the sports departments with regards to School events.

The Person:

For this role our client is looking for someone who has:

  • Experience of working in a
    hospitality venue or sports centre at management level and administration experience
  • A good general level of education to include a minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English;
  • Competent at using the Microsoft Office suite of programmes;
  • Competent at task management and scheduling;
  • A proactive selfstarter;
  • Highly literate and numerate, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Ability to manage a budget;
  • A full driving license and personal transportation is essential.
  • Experience in marketing and public relations including producing printed material, updating social media and websites
  • Driving licence
  • Emotional resilience and ability to work calmly under pressure

The Hours:

Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm Monday - Friday. Based in Bath (there may be some flexibility for home working if necessary rather than weekly)


The Benefits:

Paid holiday entitlement is 28 days per annum, inclusive of bank holidays.

No holiday may be taken during term time.


The School normally closes for a period over Christmas; the dates of which are agreed by Senior Management every year.

This closure period may result in additional non-working days, however, this is non-contractual and does not affect annual leave entitlement.


The Salary:

c£26,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.
