The Role:

You will ensure that each customer is provided with an excellent and compassionate customer service practising first contact resolution.

A compassionate approach to every challenge is required as you assist people to pay their taxes in a manageable way and ensure that the council's annual council tax collection rate target is achieved.

About You:


With previous experience of working in a Council Tax office or similar environment you will be a self-motivated individual who possesses good IT skills and the capability of writing easy to understand customer responses.


This is a hybrid working arrangement with 2 days a week in the office and 3 working from home so you must have a high level of flexibility and adaptability and have a positive attitude towards change.


You will have previously worked in a revenues and benefits office or a similar environment, have knowledge of Council Tax legislation and procedures, and be experienced in front-line customer contact, both by phone and in-person.


It is important that you understand and commit to Council policies in relation to equal opportunities, customer care and service delivery, and the ability to implement these policies in the workplace.
