  • We are looking for a Senior User Researcher to join our In Home Experiences insights team to help us drive and support evidencebased design and product decisions throughout Spotify's product development process. Our team is responsible for all of Spotify's consumer experiences beyond mobile that people use in their homes, such as desktop, TV, and game consoles. Together with us you will study user behaviour, evaluate critical initiatives and experiment with new features. Above all, your work will affect the way the world experiences music, podcasts and audiobooks.
  • As part of our team, you will work with multiple methods to deliver to a fast paced and innovative team as we build the world's best streaming service. You will help the team to gain a deep understanding of music and listening needs. Furthermore, you will work closely with data scientists to identify and understand audiences and define success metrics for our products. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music and other audio content.
What You'll Do

  • Work closely with a crossfunctional, geographically distributed team of data scientists, user researchers, product managers, designers and engineers
  • Define, plan, and conduct evaluative and foundational user research
  • Understand and communicate user needs to cross functional partners and product teams
  • Deliver compelling insights to help drive evidencebased product and design decisions
  • Contribute to the wider Insights community at Spotify
Who You Are

  • Hold a degree in Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Social Science or a related field, or the equivalent in years of professional experience
  • Have proven experience in research roles in fast paced companies with significant expertise in qualitative research
  • Experience identifying people's problems and needs to inform the development of new features and products
  • Comfortable with independently planning, prioritizing, conducting, analyzing and communicating research in a zero to one space
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and can easily connect with your partners in product, tech, business and design
  • A dedicated advocate of a usercentered approach to product development, while also balancing business need
