The Confederation team also work to develop and support individual GP practices, PCNs and Neighbourhoods and their changing needs. We are of the NHS but independent, innovative and transformational.

General capacity across primary care is being expanded rapidly.

The Confederation is appointed as the host organisation for the NWL Training Hub and we work to support and facilitate the financial and strategic agendas for the NWL Training Hub.

Job Summary:


We are looking for an enthusiastic Training Support Officer to join our friendly and dynamic team at NWL Consortia of Training Hubs.

The post-holder will work closely with the lead Training Hub Team to provide dedicated administrative support.

Education is a crucial enabler to the future of the Primary Care workforce and this role will be pivotal in coordinating and quality in the delivery of training and education for our primary care staff.


The post holder will work for NWL Training Hub team to deliver programmes of training, coordinating reports and providing administrative support as required, giving regular status updates to senior colleagues.


You will have good time management skills, strong knowledge of MS office platforms and be able to demonstrate experience or interest in supporting primary care workforce in training and education.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Supporting the administrative needs of the NWL Training Hub.
  • Developing and monitoring data to support onward reporting.
  • Maintaining relationships with colleagues in other Training Hubs.
  • Provide high quality project, service and administrative support including information and analysis.
  • Leading on communication training with practices with support from the Programme Lead
  • Presenting and updating at meetings when required.
  • As a key member of the team, you will promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio of projects, services, and initiatives.

Key Working Relationships:


  • Work under the direction of the Programme Lead.
  • Complete tasks delegated by Training Hub colleagues, prioritising workload and managing time effectively.
  • The post holder will be required to maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders including staff across primary care and Health Education England.
  • Participate in relevant internal and external working groups.
  • Work with members of the team to develop and implement project data collection systems that will provide accurate and timely data.
  • Communicate information and issues to job manager as appropriate.

Key Activities:


  • Deliver against agreed objectives, achieving quality outcomes
  • Organise meetings or events and assist in the diary management requirements of individuals in connection with portfolio of work.
  • Work with the Programme Lead to establish a central place to record all training opportunities and regular communication to primary care and associated colleagues.
  • Establish and maintain effective rollout of training schedules, enabling a smooth process for trainees to register, attend and be certified for the various courses
  • Supporting the Programme Lead to manage invoices for training and education.
  • Working with the Programme Lead to outline bids for additional training from HEE.
  • Work closely with Training Hub team to ensure maximum uptake of training and development within primary care.
  • Develop and maintain databases as required.
  • Providing updates at meetings when required.
  • Maintain administrative and information resources including the Training Hub website.
  • Contribute to effective information management within the team.
  • Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects to provide information/analyst advice and support and to maintain data collection systems for its effective use by the team.
  • The postholder will undertake reporting and analysis of information to support programme delivery.
  • To provide administrative support to the Training Hub e.g., preparing papers, circulating documents, maintaining the project plan.
  • Produce necessary reports with the support of the Programme Lead as required.
  • To undertake the full range of confidential administrative and/or project support activities.
