About the role:
You will be working mainly within the Employment and Vocational Skills pathway to develop and deliver the curriculum for Fruitful, a pop-up fruit juice stall that gives students training and work experience in customer service and hospitality.
The role incorporates session development, planning and delivery, monitoring and evaluation of student progress, key working responsibilities such as liaising with student's support networks and involvement in PiP's wider work.
Duties and responsibilities:
- To design and deliver group and 1:1 sessions and activities for students mainly in the Employment and Vocational Skills pathway
- To provide key work support to a number of 'key students'
- Taking a role within the PiP Team to ensure that PiP maintains a high quality and responsive service.

Experience and Knowledge:
- Working with people with learning disabilities, or a similar client group
- Developing curriculums, or delivering educational activities and working towards outcomes Understanding of and commitment to a personcentred approach
- Understanding of the risk assessment process, and development of strategies to tackle identified risks x Knowledge of Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA) processes
- A teaching (or relevant) qualification, for example PTTLS or Level 3 AET or willing to undertake
- Knowledge of national and local legislation and policy affecting people with learning disabilities
Skills and attributes:
- Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, maintain accurate records and produce reports
- Can facilitate high quality learning sessions for adults with learning disabilities
- Effective communication with people who have complex communication needs
- Able to establish, develop and maintain constructive and professional relationships, both internal and external, with a wide variety of professionals and carers
