Forming part of the Technical team and reporting to the Technical Manager, your role as a Quality Controller is a key to ensuring quality is maintained and focus kept on supporting food safety, legality and compliance.

This key role encompasses all aspects of day to day QA duties.

Duties include:

Ensuring finish product quality meets the required customer specification.
Monitoring process controls and effective working.
Ensure lines are free of contamination in between each change over.
Carry out periodic product analysis to help identify failures
Conduct a full quality assessment on each run prior to releasing stock to the packing.
Make informed decisions based on factual quality assessment results.
Conduct and Keep records of all quality checks carried out.
Responsible for circulating any quality information to both Production and Quality departments.
Take ownership of product quality in production.
Provide continuous feedback to help drive consistency and improvement

Skills and experience:

Prior experience of Quality Assurance and HACCP
Practical experience in the food manufacturing industry
Level 2 Food Hygiene, L2 HACCP training.
Good practical working knowledge of food safety legislation

Contract Type:
Permanent

Hours:
Full Time, 40 per week - 10 hour shift Mon to Thursday. Some overtime may be required.

Salary:
starting at £19k - £25kp/a (depending on experience)

Salary:
£19,500.00-£25,000.00 per year
