We are excited to announce a unique opportunity for an experienced Barista at our prestigious venue, the Royal Academy of Music, Marylebone.


This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional coffee and service within a dynamic and culturally rich environment.


Who We Are Looking For:

A skilled barista with a comprehensive knowledge of coffee and experience in fast-paced settings. Your proficiency in crafting high-quality beverages consistently, especially during busy periods, will be key. Living within a reasonable commuting distance to Marylebone is desirable.


As a Barista you will:


  • Be passionate about making fantastic coffee
  • Always aiming to provide a superior experience
  • Provide a warm and excellent customer service
  • Be knowledgeable on our products
  • Take orders, payments and use an EPOS system
  • Prepare coffee from our menu selection and/or other hot/cold refreshments and serving items to customers
  • Clean and restocking of work/dining area
  • Accurately dial in grinders to ensure the best espresso quality
  • Master the art of steaming milk for a variety of coffee drinks
  • Maintain excellence and efficiency during peak service times
  • Provide engaging, knowledgeable service to a diverse clientele
  • Update signage and displays to attract customers
  • Take inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and quality controls
  • Have opportunities to work at our other iconic London locations such as The Shard and Silver Sturgeon as well as some of our nationwide greenfield sporting events to expand experience
  • Handle and maintain toptier equipment, including Mahlkonig E80 GBW Grinders and La Marzocco KB90 with ABR

Requirements:


  • Demonstrable experience as a barista in a specialty coffee and highvolume environment
  • A team player who can also work independently
  • Experience using an EPOS system
  • Strong commitment to maintaining high standards and attention to detail
  • Must be available for early shifts and weekends

The Role:


  • The role is a parttime, term time permanent role working 45 of 52 weeks per year.
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • The shifts generally will be 08.00 and not including events)
  • Mon to Sat mostly daytime/occasionally evening functions (Saturdays working on a rotational basis)
