An exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Architect to join a data technology start-up and head the data team.


The Company


An exciting opportunity for a senior Data Architect to join a B2B data technology start-up and collaborate with the DevOps and Data Engineering team to deploy a new GCP platform, and implement new solutions.

This company is a food operating system workingwith large institutions; it uses AI and tech to match food to a certain group, environment, or supply conditions.

The role will be extremely hands-on and will involve a lot of programming. Therefore, it would suit someone from a Data Engineering background.

You will be establishing a data architecture from scratch, creating database models from scratch, and devisinga data strategy for specific operational and data architectural issues.


The role and responsibilities

  • Form a data architecture from scratch by creating a data strategy and maintaining data pipelines
  • Deploy a data architecture and platform through crossfunctional collaboration
  • Create database models and maintain data in a cloud environment
  • Upkeep a data management system through repeated testing, modifying, and reporting
  • Review current estate to create an optimisation strategy

Your skills and experience

  • At least 5 years commercial experience with Python and either C, C++, Java, or PHP (essential)
  • At least 5 years experience in data modelling and design, and also asSQL development and database administration (essential)
  • At least 5 years experience in data architecture and platform design (essential)
  • Experience with cloud computing; either GCP or AWS (essential)
  • Experience with machine learning and pipelines (desirable)
