  • Reporting into the Director of People

We are looking for an experienced Regional People Business Partner to join our close-knit People team.

This role will work across our varied hotel portfolio supporting the business operations, delivering key elements of the People plan with a focus on workforce planning and leadership best practice.

This role will proactively support the Director of People, fellow Regional People Business Partner, People Team colleagues and our hotel leaders with a relentless desire to build Commercial success, through activities that will improve our Splendid Family Member and Guest experience.


Our portfolio spans from London to Bristol to Yorkshire and Scotland, the Regional People Business Partner will be required to travel nationally, therefore we are flexible in terms of base location but ideally between London and our new Watford Central Support office.

Role in our Family

Accountabilities

  • To be the goto person for daytoday People support across your properties.
  • Provide firstline support in ER case queries, serious incidents, occupational health intervention and counselling services.
  • Perform People Audit Checks across properties to ensure compliance and agreed actions for improvement.
  • Support GM/HOD's with the use of Peoplebank (ATS) and Fourth (HRIS & Payroll) system.
  • To work closely with line managers and Hotel GM's to agree clear ways of working, reporting and prioritizing to ensure consistency in approach and priorities.
  • To support the delivery of agreed People KPI's / key activity with a focus on labour costs, attrition, vacancy numbers and absence along with supporting Operational Directors with other People efforts where required.
  • To act as coach and challenger to Managers to develop their thinking, behaviours, and leadership, whilst ensuring all family members have 'GOALS' applied across all departments.
  • Maintain a relentless focus on people capability in general and management capability specifically to drive workforce engagement and performance, bring our Family Values to life in how we operate our hotels.
  • Be visible at properties where appropriate; working closely with leadership teams to improve business performance, attend Operational Reviews where required and help maintain brand compliance, e.g. IHG, Accor, easyHotel.
  • Keep a focus on all people related costs and identify and drive agreed efficiencies.
  • Take an advisory role in cascading messages and driving engagement.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships across all the People teams to enable efficient escalation of issues to Operational and People leadership, whilst demonstrating a proactive understanding of the People team priorities.
  • Provide input into the performance cycles in support of performance / capability risks and identification of talent, whilst encouraging talent to move across properties.

Experience and Qualifications.

  • Experience working within a fieldbased HR, multisite customer focused, fast paced operation, ideally within hospitality or retail.
  • Experience of providing L&D/Coaching
