Working as an enhanced practitioner, the opportunities for professional development and improving the care of those patients at risk of deterioration overnight are endless.

New roles will include Clinical Site Matrons (CSM's), Clinical Site Practitioners (CSP's) and Clinical Support Workers (CSW's) with leadership provided by the Head of Nursing (HoN).

Whilst these are leadership roles there is an expectation that post-holders will very much be patient and staff facing working as enhanced practitioners during nights, weekends and bank holidays.

This role will be based at Peterborough City Hospital with occasional cross site working at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

Interviews will take place on 1st/4th March.

The main function of the Clinical Site Practitioner role focuses on promoting and supporting the quality, safety and patient experience agendas at both the Peterborough City Hospital site in addition to remote support for Stamford and Rutland Hospital.

The role will provide senior clinical leadership overnight and support to the Clinical Site Matron (CSM) who will take on the role of "Night Coordinator" once call/bleep triage and filtering processes are adopted by the Trust using digital technology.

The Clinical Site Practitioner will support the CSM having a "helicopter view" of their allocated site for the shift working closely with the other members of the wider Hospital at night, weekends and bank holiday teams.

This CSP will work closely with the medical teams and Critical Care Outreach teams across the site, support workload allocations of the Clinical Support Workers and join clinical huddles in conjunction with the most senior doctors on site to ensure patients are reviewed by the right clinician, at the right time, ensuring maximum and best use of resources.

We are committed to ensure a work-life balance to all our staff by offering full time and part time roles, flexible working hours on a shift pattern to fit around your family life.
