The Location:


Nurture Fertility was established in 1991 and due to the passion, expertise and reputation of our team, has grown into a leading fertility clinic.

Providing treatment to both NHS and private patients, Nurture Fertility performs approximately 850 fresh cycles and 400 frozen cycles per year.

Offering a full suite of treatment and diagnostic services, including PGT.

Conveniently located on the outskirts of Nottingham, adjacent to junction 25 of the M1, there is ample free parking for staff and patients at the front of the building.

Our state-of-the-art laboratory was purpose built in 2014 and is equipped with the latest equipment and monitoring systems that support us in achieving excellent outcome KPI's.

Nurture Fertility also has a 5/5 inspection rating from the HFEA.


The Role:


The Clinical Research Fellow will undertake clinical research looking attitudes to sperm donation in the UK (60%) with the aim of completing a higher degree either an MD or PhD.

In addition work closely with a team in all activities in the laboratory throughout their time as a research fellow.(40%).


The project will include assessment and attitudes amongst clinical staff and donors in the UK of Carrier Screening, matching and recruitment of donors.


This posting will be a 3 year fixed term contract

Key Responsibilities:


  • Undertake research as directed by your supervisor
  • Day to day clinical duties
  • Consultations (new and review)
  • Planning investigations
  • Creating treatment plans for patients
  • Monitoring assisted conception treatments
  • Perform transvaginal oocyte retrievals
  • Intrauterine inseminations
  • Embryo transfers
  • Endometrial scratch
  • Baseline ultrasound scans
  • Pregnancy ultrasound scans
  • HyFoSy procedures
  • Other project work
  • Audit as directed by the QM
  • Develop / review SOPs
The above will be reviewed as required, in consultation with the post holder.

The post holder must maintain confidentiality of information about patients, staff and other Company business in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

In circumstances where it becomes known that a member of staff has communicated such information to an unauthorised person, that staff member will be liable for dismissal.

Moreover, the Data Protection Act 1998 also renders an individual liable for prosecution in the event of unauthorised disclosure of information.


Qualifications and Responsibilities**:


  • Medical degree recognised by the GMC.
  • MRCOG
  • An understanding of the work of related disciplines
  • An understanding of the biology and scientific evidence underpinning clinical practice (Desirable)
  • Interest in fertility management (Desirable)
  • Experience of ultrasound scanning (Desirable)
  • Flexible and selfmotivated
  • Natural team player
  • High level of resilience
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Satisfactory DBS check

Salary:
Competitive (Depending on experience)


Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

  • Partake in the oncall work
  • 1 in 4 weekends
  • 1 night per week telephone on call for emergencies

Dual contribution pension scheme


Holiday Entitlement: 27 Days + Bank holidays.
