Our Client are a leading Electrical Engineering business based in West Yorkshire. The company currently require a talented Product Manager to join the business.


Purpose of the Role:


As the EV Product Manager, you will work alongside the Senior Electrical Engineer, Sales, Supply Chain and the wider Product Management team, to develop market briefs and supporting business cases to secure business buy-in and investment allocation.


  • Operate as the product champion, creating intimate relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Define the product vision by gathering and prioritising product, compliance, and customer requirements
  • Conduct comprehensive competitor benchmarking, technical reviews, and associated market pricing analysis
  • Accountable for meeting product objectives within agreed timescales and budgets
  • Guardianship of product profit
  • Understand market trends and dynamics to formulate strategic responses to maintain/develop market standing
  • As a strong communicator, you will work across the functions of the business, driving synergies to identify efficiencies and exploit to the full opportunity potential

Key Responsibilities:


  • Product Analysis: The EV Technical Product Manager is responsible for analyzing market trends and sales performance Completing comprehensive competitor analysis to provide the business's product with a competitive edge over competition.
  • Creation of product/feature briefs that can be converted into technical requirements for the project engineers
  • Strategic Roadmap Contribution: EV Product Manager to define product enhancements and strategies
  • Collaboration: The EV Product Manager collaborates with the Head of Product Management & Marketing in maintaining plan integration and ensuring the overall achievement of product objectives. The EV Product Manager works within the product management teamas well as other teams in determining product vision, positioning, and direction.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: The EV Product Manager is responsible for the identification of new opportunities, service improvements, and cost reductions.
  • The EV Product Manager contributes to the determination of pricing and profitability of the product, inclusive of the approval of special pricing where necessary. (Pricing needs to be in conjunction with the Commercial Manager, Head of Sales, and Head ofProduct Management & Marketing)

Marketing Activities:
The EV Product Manager aligns product launch activities with marketing activities. This includes product training, technical guides, suite of product collateral.


Skills Required:


  • Ideally 6+ years of relevant experience in product management
  • Strong Technical ability (electrical understanding essential / knowledge of alternative power generation a significant advantage).
  • Strong Customercentric, businessfocused mindset,
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects to completion and within deadlines (Project Management)
  • Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and present requirements into the business
  • High level of initiative with the ability to selfmotivate.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise & support with documentation
  • Able to work effectively with people from different cultures / backgrounds
  • Strong computer skills with high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Maintain a high level of selfmotivation and independence
