Role Overview


You will be part of the busy Rural Professional Team, operating out of our Exeter office across the south west.

The wider team works across our Truro, Exeter and Taunton offices and are leading specialist Rural Professionals and RICS valuers.


The role will involve a wide range of varied work dealing with rural, residential and agricultural property on all scales.

It will include valuation for lending, tax and other purposes, compulsory purchase, infrastructure and utility scheme compensation, AMC lending, and potentially property management in addition to supporting Directors in expert and dispute resolution work.


Day to day we envisage the role to involve working with two Directors and two Associate Directors also based from the Exeter office.

The role would suit a motivated graduate to someone already MRICS qualified.


Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director managing the team the role will include:

  • Dealing with rural, residential and agricultural property on all scales
  • Visiting and inspecting properties with colleagues and independently
  • Assisting with the preparation of client reports and attending client meetings as required
  • Assisting with and carrying out (depending on experience) valuation for lending, tax and other purposes
  • Supporting Directors in expert and dispute resolution work
  • Compulsory purchase, infrastructure and utility scheme compensation matters
  • Supporting AMC lending work
  • Potentially assisting with property management
  • Day to day we envisage the role to involve working with two Directors and two Associate Directors also based from the Exeter office
  • Contributing to team, office and region KPIs
  • Liaising with other Savills departments
  • To adhere to all company processes with regards to professional behaviours at all times

Key Skills
Experience

  • RICS accredited degree or working towards
  • Experience in a graduate or post qualified surveying role, Rural Pathway preferred or work experience if recently graduated
Technical Experience

  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in Excel, Word, databases and ability to pick up new software quickly
  • High efficiency, organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Skills and Knowledge

  • Articulate with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels
  • Flexible 'can do' attitude and willingness to learn
  • Selfmotivated and able to use own initiative
