Healing Conversations is a dedicated free trauma counselling service for:

  • Survivors of Gender-based violence; including Female Genital Mutilation or cutting (FGM/C).
  • Mums (of preschool aged children, including during pregnancy) experiencing complex social factors such as: domestic abuse, homelessness, being trafficked, being a refugee or seeking asylum.
  • Those experiencing anxiety, depression and trauma from experiences such as pregnancy loss and birth trauma.
  • Sister circle staff, Maternity Mates and peer support volunteers who are working with women facing multiple complexities.
As an admin and support worker you will be the first point of contact for our clients. You will provide warm, empathic, non-judgmental support for the clients, sign-posting and making referrals as needed.

You will assist in the coordination of the beneficiary services, working closely with professionals and counsellors as well as providing administrative support across the Healing Conversations team.

You will play a key role in raising the profile of the counselling service through outreach, networking and presentations.

You will be joining a team of diverse women who are dedicated and passionate about making a difference to the lives of women living in East London.

Sister Circle is a charity putting women's health first.

Our team of staff and trained local volunteers provide holistic support for women living with challenging circumstances and who are at the highest risk of experiencing poor health care during pregnancy and accessing sexual and reproductive health services.
