I am working alongside a well-known luxury Organic skincare company based in the centre of London who are looking for an experienced Area Manager to look after their 3 London based stores
How would your day look?
You would be responsible for managing the teams across all 3 stores by providing them with valuable coaching to maximize sales and profit, delivering a consumer-focused experience while promoting the brand values, coordinating the implementation of the activationcalendar alongside product launches and eventing whilst working closely with the UK Sales director to share your reports
Location -London
Days - Option of 3 or 4days a week - 1 to 2 days at the office, 2 to 3 days in store
Salary - 3 Days £33k or 4 Days £44k
Sales related commission of 10% of the basic, paid out every month based on achievement of net sales in TOP own stores and other staff-led retail locations
6month contract with opportunity to extend or go perm
Other Responsibilities include -
- Provide clear goals and expectations to engage the team in business objectives, and foster cooperation and team spirit.
- Lead, mentor and empower the Store Managers and retail teams to deliver sales through retail excellence, from store operations (ex: sales / KPIs analysis, using the till system and other business tools, planning, grooming and cleanliness, stock management,reporting,) to customer service (ex: storytelling and sales speech, preparation of events, managing customer database and VIPs,).
- Full accountability on TOP Store P&L to deliver sales and profit according to budget: defining salaries, commissions / bonuses, staff rota, ; identifying needs for training, VM and marketing investment; overseeing licence renewal, rent review, upgrades/ refits / closures with HR / Finance / UK Sales Directors' supports if needed.
- Manage and coach the stores and retail personnel, defining recruitment, training, development and disciplinary plans. Implement your plans with the HR Director's support.
- Ensure a good communication flow between your teams, the head office (marketing, finance, HR, customer service and operations), the retail partners and landlords. You will be the main touchpoint to your stores and retail teams, as well as their voice tothe head office.
- Report on activities / performance / action plans, and share commercial feedback on competition and retail, through weekly reporting and during the weekly sales and marketing meetings.
The right kind of person will be
- An inspirational leader and confident decision maker, with a proven track record in sales, KPIs and team development
- Management experience in retail is mandatory, ideally in beauty, aesthetics or luxury
- Strong people management experience
- Passion for retail excellence and strong attention to detail
- Problem / solution oriented, result driven with excellent command of figures and performance indicators to create action plans
- Ability to build relationships, team player who collaborates to win
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
- Organisation skills managing priorities effectively
- Desire to own projects and exceed expectations
- Driving license optional
