A warm and welcoming young family based in Kensington W8 are seeking an experienced, fluent German speaking nanny for a full time, long term position. The role will focus on supporting their toddler's German language development through engaging, age appropriate play, conversation and activities, while also helping with the smooth running of the household.

The family are looking for a loving, proactive nanny who has solid experience working with toddlers and genuinely enjoys being involved in both childcare and day to day family life. Their previous German speaking nanny returned to Germany, and they are keen to find someone who can build a similarly close and long lasting relationship with their child.

Hours
Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 7.00pm, approximately 10.5 hours per day.
Duties
The primary focus of the role is childcare, particularly encouraging German language learning through play, reading, outings and structured activities. In addition, the nanny will be happy to assist with household tasks when time allows, especially when the children are at nursery or resting.

Duties will include:

• Speaking German consistently with the toddler and supporting language development through play and daily routines
  

• Planning stimulating activities and outings
  

• Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
  

• Helping with general household organisation and tidying
  

• Light housekeeping in between professional cleans, including keeping the kitchen clean and organised
  

• Assisting with grocery shopping, food preparation, chopping, marinating and making fresh juices
  

• Occasional ironing when time permits
  

The family has a cleaner who attends twice a week for deep cleaning, so this role is about maintaining a tidy, organised home rather than heavy cleaning.

Travel
The nanny should be open to occasional travel with the family, for example to a summer villa in Europe or winter trips to Abu Dhabi.
Accommodation
The role is currently live out, based in Kensington W8. The family are planning to move to a larger house in the same area later this year, at which point a live in option may become available, though this is still to be confirmed.
Start Date
Ideally 23rd March, though the family are open to discussing this for the right candidate.

Requirements

Fluent German speaker
Experience with toddlers
Up to date Enhanced DBS (you can apply through Kinder Nannies)
Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate
Right to work in UK (& already living in the UK) 
Live close to W8
Good references for recent nanny work
Able to run after small children
Be available long term
