About the Role:


Shephall Health Centre is looking to recruit an advanced clinical practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team on a full or part time basis, to help us to transform and modernise pathways of care, enabling the safe and effective sharing of skills across traditional professional boundaries.


The post-holder will:
- demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist service providing advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families and carers.
- be practising autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner within the designated speciality area to provide patient-centred clinical care. This will encompass the skills of advanced clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice throughout the directorate.
- support new ways of working that emphasises a more efficient and patient focused service, and will ensure the safe treatment, referral and discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations in their area.
- have responsibility for leading the on-going development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues.

Qualifications, skills and experience required:

  • Professional registration with relevant professional body: NMC, HCPC or GPhC
  • Postgraduate qualification in specific speciality, or equivalent experience
  • Qualified independent prescriber
  • Postregistration experience at a senior level (Band 7 or above) in specialty area
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD
  • Advanced clinical assessment skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to perform in stressful and complex situation
  • Sound clinical reasoning & decision making
  • Flexibility Ability to inspire and lead a team

About Us:Shephall Health Centre is a multi-disciplinary team of GPs, advanced nurse practitioners, physician associate, PCN pharmacy team, nurses, HCA, MSK specialist, and a competent and efficient admin team. We are a training practice, we host GP trainees and physician associate trainees, and hold regular education meetings and case discussion meetings to develop shared learning.
