Job Objectives and Responsibilities


To provide and deliver an accurate and efficient customer focused ER Administration Service to all current Mitie employees and future Mitie employees, ensuring SLA's and compliance are maintained across a wide range of queries.


Main Duties

  • To provide a high level of ER administration service to all line managers
  • To manage the ER inbox and flag areas of risk
  • To triage the ER cases in line with the ER case matrix to the appropriate team
  • To supporting line managers with Employee Relations documentation and working with Employee Relations Advisors to ensure the documentation is accurate and detailed
  • To complete SARS in line with legislation
  • To manage a case load of ER Administration tickets such as Death In Service cases and redundancy calculations
  • To maintain good working relationships with all other teams within People Support and the wider HR community to ensure a first class service is provided to all stakeholders
  • To understand and comply with policies and procedures
  • To ensure the service provided is in line with Mitie's policies and procedures and is compliant with relevant legislation
  • To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required
  • To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required

Person Specification

  • Previous experience within a HR Administration role
  • Basic understanding of HR Policy and procedures (Highly Desirable but not essential)
  • GCSE or equivalent standard in English and Maths
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in SAP HR/Payroll system or other recognised HR database preferred however not essential
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise workload and use own initiative to ensure results
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to delivering excellent customer service to stakeholders inline with SLA's and KPI's
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong team player willing to assist others
  • Desirable to have experience of mail merges and VLOOKUP's
  • Well organised, with the ability to multitask, prioritise and manage competing demands
  • Resilient able to work under pressure
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Team player with a cando attitude
  • Process orientated with a keen eye for detail
