Tesco Travel Money is currently the 2nd largest provider of travel money in the UK and provides a unique in-store and online proposition.

After a strong recovery post pandemic this is an exciting time to join the team as we have ambitious growth plans.

This involves our extensive estate of 360+ in-store bureaux and online travel money services delivered to customers through 250+ click & collect locations and home delivery.

Reporting into the Travel Money Commercial Operations Manager you will work closely on key areas to develop and deliver operational support to the commercial team, ensuring the best experience for customers and colleagues.

This is a great entry into commercial operations and will give you a broad understanding of how the travel money proposition works; how we monitor and track operational performance, manage risk, and drive change and improvement.

  • You will be a strong collaborator with the ability to work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be able to optimise work processes, establish most effective and efficient processes to get things done with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Planning and organizing, work without supervision and take responsibility for ongoing work and project delivery.
  • You will have good analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret data spot trends and make recommendations based on sound rationale.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations.
  • Strong desire to drive change and improvement.
  • Monitoring and tracking performance, identifying risks and concerns.
  • An understanding of Risk or compliance would be helpful but not essential.
The Role

  • Support the daytoday operation of the Travel Money network acting as key liaison for Travelex, Tesco Stores and Tesco Bank for daytoday operational issues and queries.
  • Track and collate customer service metrics and provide monthly updates, identifying trends and propose actions.
  • Manage the day to day running of the nonbureau click and collect service from customer service desks dealing with issues, queries, changes, complaint support/resolution and communications with stores.
  • Manage the set up and ongoing training for Money & more.
  • Facilitate project communications, adhering to Tesco stores capacity planning and communications procedures.
  • Executing the event management process, raise and update all Travel Money events on Open Pages, facilitate actions to correct and mitigate & close in a timely manner
  • Operate the Travel Money Security forum including meetings and actions, and support HO Travel Money in initiatives to improve controls.
  • Operate the Joint Risk management Forum with Travelex in line with contractual commitments.
  • Central point of contact for the Bank Incident Management team, keep IM process up to date. Manage travel money product incidents adhering to Bank IM processes
  • Governance & Compliance:
  • Ensure supplier MI and reporting is received and reviewed in line with contractual obligations and where appropriate issues raised and actions followed up
  • Organising and managing the monthly Travelex call centre performance meeting and dealing with related issues and actions.
  • Support with preparation of meeting packs including agendas, actions, and minutes.
  • Supporting risk governance for Travel Money including RCSA, Conduct MI, Risk Reporting and risks associated with contract management. Supporting Travel Money Senior Managers identifying and managing the risks and control testing.
