Job Purpose

The purpose of the Donation Centre Assistant role is to assist the Donation Centre Manager with the development of our e-commerce trading department and operations within the donation centre in Stevenage.

You will work alongside colleagues to select items from our donations which will raise the maximum income through online platforms such as eBay, Facebook, Vinted and other web based auction/sales platforms.

You will assist our supporters with their donated items ensuring high customer service levels are maintained and processes followed.

The working pattern is Saturday (7.5 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities

The sale of donated items through a range of online platforms
Achieve weekly, monthly and annual sales targets
Work with the Donation Centre Manager to maintain systems for the storage, listing and dispatch of items to maximise their profitability and ensure safe delivery
Manage the feedback from customers to ensure 100% positivity
Have a clear understanding of the Charity's policies and vision and how the donation centre contributes to these
Organise stock for listing, sales, packaging and disposal where necessary
Maximise sale opportunity of all items through high standard photography and product knowledge
Ensuring Gift Aid details are securely processed from our donors
Support in the day to day operations of the donation centre. This may include sorting of donated items, moving stock for storage, picking stock for deliveries.
Support the Donation Centre Manager to maintain a safe and productive donation centre operation
Assist in the management and distribution of new goods and shop orders
Greet and accept donations from our supporters at the donation centre
Other appropriate duties or projects to support the Charity's work.

This job description is not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to undertake other appropriate duties and or projects from time to time
