Full Time (37 Hours) - Permanent
£26,232 - £29,433 per annum

This post is to support the governance of the first aid licence and administer events and incidents linked injury or trauma.

Working across the L&D and Health and Safety teams, the post holder will be the central point of contact for all clinical matters surrounding the internal recording, governance and management of content relating to first aid delivery.


Working alongside a wider administration team, you will support the Chair of the Clinical Advisory Panel in quarterly meetings, developing actions from the meetings through research and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.

This information will support the wider collation of content, compliance records and literature required for the annual licensing inspection of first aid delivery.

You will be responsible for the submission, liaison and any follow up action in relation to the licence.


In addition, you will support the monitoring and review of data where officers, staff or other persons have been injured through our work activities and first aid or other medical treatment has been required.

Ensuring this is appropriate and commensurate with training delivery. Identifying learning and improvements in our response, including our equipment, methodology and training.


It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:

  • Be of a clinical background in any public agency with a knowledge of clinical governance procedures
  • Demonstrate managing and using data to implement educational interventions required to develop officers and staff accordingly
  • Be able to critically assess operational activity in relation to clinical and health and safety compliance making recommendations for improvement
  • Proven ability of auditing and reporting on clinical services
  • Experience of displaying a patient focussed approach to clinical investigations
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide professional advice and good communication to others
  • Demonstrates effective problemsolving skills
  • Demonstrates ability to compile management reports and information as required
  • Ability to travel throughout Norfolk / Suffolk

It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:

  • Experience of first aid and specialist trauma training
  • Experience of health and safety processes and reporting
Hours of work are 37 per week Monday to Friday. This post is offered on a permanent basis.


Consideration will be given to whether the post can be delivered on either a part time or job share basis, in line with the organisational requirements of this role.
