The RoleMain purpose of role
Delivers a curated premium Fisher & Paykel Customer Experience.
'Creates moments of delight' with particular focus on the creation of dishes that highlight the exceptional features of the F&P range of products.
The EC Chef will also have in-depth Brand and product knowledge & will be able to tell the Fisher & Paykel story in a compelling way.
The capability to lead the Experience Centre in the absence of the EC Manager is required.Role profile
Customer Experience Delivery
- Delivery of the curated Fisher & Paykel experience to all visitors, providing guests with indepth product detail & other relevant information.
- Support Centre activities including programs and activations to ensure event planning and execution is of the highest standard and meets established deadlines.
- Understands the premium market premium products and kitchens and the food and wine that go with it.
- Manage & deliver the Centre's cooking demonstrations, ensuring high quality output with demonstrable link back to product features & benefits.
- Liaise closely with the EC Manager in sourcing & developing recipes / menus as required to support requirements & feedback of participants.
- Deliver innovative and highly engaging cooking demonstrations that generate interest, meet consumer's needs, develop brand loyalty and result in participants leaving with increased product knowledge & preference for the Fisher Paykel Brands.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest possible standard.
- Use, maintain and clean all equipment to the required specification.
- Ensure that any support staff work as a team towards business goals and work collaboratively with other Centre staff.
- Establish strong supplier relationships that ensure constant and quality supply for the Centre.
- Adhere to all local and best practice food and occupational safety standards including making the kitchen accessible to Authorities as required and on demand.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure all food sourced is within budget.
- When scheduled, deliver instore cooking experiences at key retail partners to promote F&P products.
- Work collaboratively with the EC Manager and other team members to meet the objectives & delivery of the curated experience within the Centre.
- Undertake allocated EC Manager responsibilities when rostered (i.e., in the absence of the EC Manager)
- Identify casual cooking specialist & kitchen hand requirements & communicate to EC Manager to ensure busy periods have adequate resourcing.
- All communications, presentation and service delivery are of the highest standard within cost, on time and to the expectation of Fisher & Paykel.
- Ensure all Centre staff understand and adhere to the safety and emergency procedures and adhere to all security regulations, company policies, procedures, and operating systems.
- Ensure all equipment is fully operational, properly used, always maintained, and cleaned to Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.
- Implement a best practice model to ensure mínimal food safety or OH&S incidents.
- Understands Health & Safety matters that relate to your role and manages daily activities to comply with all H&S in Employment Legislation, Regulations and Policies.
- Assigns Health & Safety and Food Safety responsibilities where appropriate to team member.
- Meet all local requirements and regulations in relation to kitchen management and food preparation
- Food Safety.
- Accurate & timely delivery of required reports to relevant stakeholders
- Previous experience as Cooking Specialist / Home Economist / Chef (mandatory) of at least 5 years
Qualifications:
- Food safety certificate (mandatory)
- Food qualification (either food technology, chef, or home economist/ cooking specialist) background strongly preferred
Technical
Utilises specialist knowledge to deliver high quality solutions.
- Qualified in kitchen staff management, communicating effectively and managing conflict.
- Demonstrated capability of food and occupational safety practices in kitchen.
- Demonstrated understanding of customer/client service and satisfaction.
- Experience in a customer service environment
- Demonstrated competency in communicating effectively (verbal and nonverbal) and influencing.
- Demonstrated team player.
- Aptitude for understanding product & technical information.

Understands and creates alignment to F&P's vision & strategic priorities. Uses the Levels of Perspective to engage and lead others in identifying & delivering the high value work.
