To assist the Technical & Logistics Manager in the smooth running of the XS Items warehouse operation.

Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Technical & Logistics Manager to ensure all shipping and warehouse duties are completed to a high and consistent standard
- Maintain performance levels on all of our online marketplaces
- Proactive approach towards shipping/warehouse consistencies, with a constant view to provide improvements
- Responsible for resource planning and allocation for workflow including shipping, checking in, warehouse duties to ensure warehouse parameters are met on a daily and weekly basis
- Ensure the warehouses are kept clean and tidy and maintain a high standard of organisation of paperwork, equipment and workstations.
- Day to day problem solving, including shipping issues, space, stock checking and other warehouse tasks
- Managing day to day workflow, team administration, training, rotas, appraisals
- Ensure forklift checks are done daily by a team member
- Customer service assistance; response handling to customer service issues through internal systems and any other platforms.
- Proactive changes to operational processes as a result of changes discussed at Business Improvement Meetings (BIMs)
- Effective team work with Technical & Logistics Manager and supervisory level colleagues to reduce customer returns
- Ensure the shipping manual is up to date and relevant to all new operation changes.
- Assist Technical & Logistics Manager with the delivery of Health & Safety practices, ensuring all literature is delivered and adhered to by team members
- Recommendations for internal system enhancements as a result of process changes
- Active contribution to future direction and opportunities for XS Items
- Training of new staff, implementation of skills matrix and identification of training needs for current warehouse staff.
- Continuous stock rotation and checks to be completed on a weekly basis and monthly stock takes, as required for accounts
- Ordering of packaging and warehouse consumables on a regular basis to ensure the business is able to fulfil customer orders and investigate new packaging requirements if new products are introduced
- Monitoring and acting on team performance ratios
- Handling certain product returns and working with a cross product team to actively reduce them
- Running projects under the guidance of the Technical & Logistics Manager
Key Skills
Warehouse experience desirable
Previous supervisory experience desirable
Good level of communication skills
Ability to operate under time constraints.
Current forklift licence and active experience
Computer literate
Experience of stock management systems
Enthusiasm & teamwork
Attention to detail
Good written English
Salary:
From £22,880.00 per year
