We have a brand new opportunity with our client, a fast-growing creative marketing agency based in Weybridge, Surrey.Available on a hybrid or remote basis.
Job Overview:
We're on the hunt for someone who is an expert in Front-End Development to join our client, a growing agency on a 6-month fixed term contract initially (with a view to going permanent).
CSS and
JavaScript animation to make websites pop.
A natural at understanding human-computer interaction design, in coming up with practical solutions for our clients and developing on a modern framework.
You'll be passionate about ensuring the best possible service is delivered to a range of high-profile food and drink brands, including Nestlé, Starbucks, and Quorn to name a few.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review clients brief to provide recommendations based upon solid rationale.
- Build, maintain and improve website performance for our clients.
- Support with delivering client website audits.
- Conduct research to assess our client's users' digital interactions and habits.
- Understanding of key design principals.
- Support with IA, UI and UX strategies based on client target goals.
- Design and build highly reusable JavaScript, HTML, CSS and jQuery code for multiple devices.
- This includes clever animations/transitions to help us tell stories for our clients.
- Understand the limitations of our tech stack, business model and provide technical advice wherever necessary.
- Solid understanding of SEO principals.
- Work collaboratively with the client, digital lead, creative director and client services, and project managers.
- Stay up to date on emerging technologies.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years' experience as a Front-End developer.
- Familiarity with browser testing and debugging.
- In depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment).
- A portfolio that demonstrates both
JavaScript proficiency and understanding of SOLID design principles (plugins, node packages, etc.). - Expert knowledge of
CSS, CSS extension languages (Less, Sass), and CSS preprocessor tools. - Expert knowledge of
HTML5 and its best practices. - Experience working with
CMS, including
WordPress: - Proficiency using Git version control.
