The key aspect of the role is to improve the quality of care to Trauma Orthopaedic patients.

Close involvement at all stages of the "patients journey".

You will act as a support to the Trauma Coordinator, Trauma Nurse Practitioners and Ward Nurses.

Main duties of the job

To provide our Trauma Orthopaedic patients with a safe level of high quality care.

To request bloods, perform venepuncture, cannulation and ECGs.

To escort patients to and from designated departments i.e. theatre.

To help support the Trauma Coordinator, and Trauma Nurse Practitioners on wards and in clinic.

Working for our organisation

This is a full time position providing a 7 day service in a flexible working shift pattern.


Our team consists of a Trauma Coordinator / Trauma Nurse Practitioner Team Leader, 1 Trauma Coordinator, 8 Trauma Nurse Practitioners and 3 Trauma Assistants.

  • GCSE English & Maths at Grades A to C (or equivalent)
  • Independent in Venepuncture, Cannulation & ECG

  • NVQ level 2/

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
