You will act as a support to the Trauma Coordinator, Trauma Nurse Practitioners and Ward Nurses.
Main duties of the job
To provide our Trauma Orthopaedic patients with a safe level of high quality care.
To request bloods, perform venepuncture, cannulation and ECGs.
To escort patients to and from designated departments i.e. theatre.
To help support the Trauma Coordinator, and Trauma Nurse Practitioners on wards and in clinic.

This is a full time position providing a 7 day service in a flexible working shift pattern.
Our team consists of a Trauma Coordinator / Trauma Nurse Practitioner Team Leader, 1 Trauma Coordinator, 8 Trauma Nurse Practitioners and 3 Trauma Assistants.
To contribute to the improvement of patient care and services in the Trauma Orthopaedic department. Providing treatment to patients and to act as a support to the Trauma Coordinator and Trauma Nurse Practitioners.

Training and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE English & Maths at Grades A to C (or equivalent)
- Independent in Venepuncture, Cannulation & ECG
- NVQ level 2/
- NVQ assessors qualification
- Team building training
- Conflict resolution training

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
