Progress Teachers are recruiting for a dedicated and dynamic
Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide
in-class support as well as
tailored 1:1 / small group interventions within a mainstream Leicester Secondary School.



Responsibilities:


  • Support students in their
    academic, social, and emotional development.
-
Assist in assessment,
creating and maintaining accurate records of attainment to be shared with colleagues, parents/carers.
-
Assist in the preparation and organisation of resources and activities as required.
-
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure a seamless provision for pupils.

  • Assist in creating a
    positive and inclusive learning environment, modelling positive attitudes and behaviours at all times

  • Provide
    1:1 or
    small group support to students with
    SEN, SEMH, or challenging behaviours
:

Build and maintain a positive relationship with students, whilst
being a resilient character.
-
Provide a safe and healthy environment and
follow safeguarding procedures.

Requirements:


  • Prior experience working with
    teenagers / adolescents with SEN, SEMH and/or challenging behaviour is essential.
  • A proven track record of supporting young people to make positive progress academically, personally and/or emotionally is highly advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students of all ages.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to pupils' needs.
  • A
    DBS on the update service (or willing to get one):

CACHE Supporting Teaching and Learning OR equivalent is advantageous.

Job Types:

Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm


Salary:

£82.09-£95.00 per day
