We are working with a world class organisation who design, develop, and manufacture niche vehicle globally seeking an experienced
Design Engineer - Interior Trim to support five new vehicle platforms.

As a
Design Engineer - Interior Trim you have experience of designing interior systems (Seating, IP, Console, Door Casings, etc) within plastics using Catia from initial concept through to product launch.

As a
Design Engineer - Interior Trim you will be responsible for:

CAD operation skills
Expectation for engineer to be able to create and manipulate geometry for primary communication of concepts / schemes within automotive interior trim.
Catia v5 operative skills, to be able to demonstrate high technical competence
Generation of 3D geometry & sectional data

(Key module utilisation:

Part design & Geometric Surface design)

Experience of using TCUA (Team Centre) & PLM preferable
Engineering experience in delivery of the designated module systems
Evidence of engineering skills, including ability to manage & resolve engineering issues.
Understands roles & needs of different client groups. Evidence of working effectively with crossfunctional teams to achieve results.

As a
Design Engineer - Interior Trim you will have knowledge and experience in:

Delivering design solutions for interior trim in moulded plastics using Catia.
Engineering BoM development.
DFMEA & DVP creation & maintenance.
Develop scopeofwork documents with key deliverables identified.
Support the module deliverables through to the programme required gateway.
Benchmarking of competitor vehicles & reporting of findings.
Interface with cross functional teams (Package, Analysis, Manufacturing, DVA etc) & implement recommendations where appropriate to create a right firsttime release.
Leading the development of the 3D and 2D models for interior / exterior trim engineering.
