Description

We are the flower delivery service MyFlowers LTD. We provide fast and reliable courier service by our electric van and transit and couriers with their own cars for our customers throughout London.


MyFlowers LTD is looking for a qualified team leader to manage and provide effective guidance to our courier, customer service and dispatch team.

You will be responsible for supervising, managing and motivating team members on a daily basis. Team Leader of Courier Service ensures seamless processing of outgoing daily courier deliveries and customer requests.


As team leader, you understand the impact of this position on other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of outgoing items.

Package management and high level of attention to customer service are essential functions for this position.


As a team leader, you will be the contact point for all team members, so your communication, support and supervisory skills should be excellent.

You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration.

Job Duties

  • Monitor dispatch to ensure deliveries are routed efficiently.
  • Coordinating vehicle routes and deliveries.
  • Tracking deliveries to ensure timely distribution and inform customers of delays.
  • Provide phone relief for customer service representatives when there is a high volume of calls.
  • Manage and triage customer grievances and escalate them to the appropriate department when necessary.
  • Scheduling and tracking shift attendance for couriers, customer service representatives and dispatchers.
  • Maintaining a schedule of training activities for couriers on customer service, communications and updating technology skills.
  • Manage performance related issues with front office and courier staff.
  • Input into courier policies and procedures to improve the courier department.

Experience

  • Equivalent working experience (retail, ecommerce sectors).
  • Online shipping, tracking and receiving experience utilizing couriers.
  • Work experience in a delivery or courier role preferred.
  • Able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work.
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
