Seize this opportunity with Hitachi Energy as a Project Controller within our UK Finance department based in Stone, Staffordshire.

You will help drive profitable growth in the business, mitigate risk, improve overall margin for internal stakeholders and you will be relied upon to provide accurate, timely, financial information using Microsoft office excel software and SAP.

As a Project Controller, you will use your strong organisational skills and exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate with our Project Managers.

Responsibilities:

To support all financial and commercial matters and actively drive performance in the business and across a portfolio of projects.
Responsible for cash management and monitor as well as followup actual cost and income against budget and forecast.
Internal control compliance, maintaining the order book for new and variation orders
Project Controlling in close collaboration with our team of Project Managers.
Preparing for and participating in monthly/quarterly project reviews
Establishing necessary currency contracts and bank guarantees, preparing business reviews
Providing accurate quality in cost forecasting and billing plans and ensuring prompt payment of invoices
Completing regular monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting tasks on the general ledger for the income statement and balance sheets, month end reports

Your background

Fluent in spoken and written English and if you do have another language it's an advantage.
A proactive planner, organized with a passion for finance and accounting
Accurate with a high attention to detail and flexible to multitask to achieve strict deadlines
Ideally you will have either UK or International Accounting qualification, either fully or Part qualified in accountancy or educated to degree level in Finance
2+ years of relevant work experience
Proficient in Excel with good working knowledge of SAP (ideally)
