    Job Title:

    Finance Business Partner (Stock)

    Location: Leicester Area

    (On-site / Hybrid options available)

    Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time

    Salary: £50-60k (DOE) + Benefits

    The Role:

    This is a high-impact opportunity for a finance professional with strong stock and inventory knowledge to take ownership of the role.

    You will be responsible for driving visibility, accuracy, and control over stock-related financials—working closely with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Own and manage inventory reporting and reconciliations, ensuring alignment between physical and financial records.
    • Analyse stock movements, wastage, shrinkage, and identify trends and corrective actions.
    • Develop and report on inventory KPIs: turnover, days on hand, provisions, and write-offs.
    • Lead month-end and year-end inventory close processes and reporting.
    • Support physical inventory audits and cycle counts.
    • Provide forecasts, insights, and commentary on stock-related working capital and cash flow impacts.
    • Partner with operational stakeholders to support stock reduction plans and margin improvement.
    • Contribute to system/process improvements around inventory controls and reporting.
    • Assist in stock valuation reviews related to external funding or audit processes.

    Candidate Profile:

    • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or QBE with strong inventory exposure.
    • Confident with financial reporting, controls, and analysis relating to stock.
    • Strong Excel skills and experience working with large ERP or stock management systems.
    • Able to present complex data to non-finance stakeholders.
    • Detail-oriented with commercial awareness and problem-solving mindset.
