We have a truly unique opportunity for someone to join the Hendy Performance & Lotus team in Exeter.

You will not only have a passion for high performance and sports cars, but you should be able combine this with your drive for exceptional customer service and have a proven experience within a sales environment.


In this role we are looking for a friendly, driven and ambitious individual who can create memorable showroom, and digital experiences for our customers.


The Opportunity:


In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for both optimising product sales for new and used vehicles, and delivering service excellence to maximise both business opportunity and customer retention. Whether a customer is looking to buy a new Lotus or MOKE, or have their existing vehicle serviced at our firstclass facility, you will be their key point of contact to exceed all needs and expectations and ensure their Hendy Performance & Lotus experience is second to none.
  • Be responsible for building rapport with customers to assess their needs and make recommendations for suitable products and services to meet those needs, whether by phone, online, facetoface or via social media platforms
  • Prepare the showroom and vehicles for the day ahead; organise and accompany customers on test drives.
  • Share your passion for our cars with customers, showing off each vehicles' specifications and features, whilst maintaining a relaxed engaging atmosphere for the customer.
  • Maintain the digital content for dealer websites and external portals (including photography and vehicle descriptions); monitor advert performance, including pricing and engagement; and produce/share personal product videos and social media content.

About You:


  • Strong desire to meet and exceed service excellence and an ability to continuously delight customers and deliver an exceptional experience.
  • Proven experience in customer service and sales would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently articulate and interact with customers in all situations.
  • Highly organised with the ability to adapt and pay meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems with speed and confidence, and
  • Good understanding of social media and a passion for digital engagement.

In addition:


  • Selfmotivated, energetic and enthusiastic, A fast learner who loves to absorb new information;
  • A people person, ideally with previous experience of customer facing roles or events; and
  • A proficient driver, with a minimum of 5 years' driving experience and a full UK license.


Ongoing training across both Sales and Aftersales aspects will ensure this role is a superb foundation for someone looking to build a career in the automotive industry or advance the career of an established sales specialist within one of our exclusive Hendy Performance sites.
