Background

The Accounts team are based in our award-winning Cardiff office and deal with all financial transactions on behalf of the firm.

The role
We have an opportunity for a Senior Credit Controller to join our accounts team.

Reporting to the firms Legal Accountant the role will include but not be limited to:

Play an integral role in the collection of all the firms outstanding debt, in line with agreed terms by contacting clients via various means of communication
Establishing relationships with long term clients including Government and Housing Associations
Assisting and supporting other departments within the firm
Develop engaging and encouraging working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and any other instructed parties involved
Assist with client queries or disputes and escalate any issues via the appropriate channels
Regularly review and report on Debtor balances
Account reconciliations and analysis
Working towards the companies KPI's, in order to keep debt and write offs to a minimum
Periodic Financial reporting including production of papers for Board

Qualifications, skills and experience

Experience working in a credit control department, ideally in a law firm
Proficient in Microsoft office
Advanced excel skills
Able to work to tight deadlines
High attention to detail
Strong communication skills
