Senior Electronic Systems Engineer

6 Month Contract - hybrid - Work for F1
We're looking for an experienced embedded electronics systems engineer to work for F1

You will be working for a team that produce a wide range of bespoke solutions to support the timing, televising, and organisation of Formula 1 events

The team architect and design embedded systems for F1 cars to provide team telemetry and driver/engineer audio, and to deliver on-board video and audio for F1 broadcasters and digital platforms.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, focus-driven engineer with a passion for all aspects of embedded electronics to complement the small and efficient team of systems, hardware, and embedded software engineers.

You will need to have a solid background in electronics engineering with experience in embedded system development with involvement in both hardware and embedded software design.

While this is not a core travelling role, you may need to attend F1 races to support products during the deployment and handover phases of the projects you work on.

_Experience required:
_

Strong background in the engineering domain, with experience in embedded systems development and support, especially full lifecycle
Engineering design of products with electronic elements and components
Architecting or assisting in the design of embedded systems
Key areas of relevant skills include Python, C, Linux, and schematic capture/PCB design

Working with networking and serial protocols (e.g. Ethernet, CAN, RS232); video encoding (e.g. H264) and transmission protocols (e.g. MPEG TS); and RF systems
