PURPOSE OF ROLE
Support the Marketing Director and broader marketing team in maximising product sales.

This will include contributing to the development and implementation of marketing plans in line with business strategy, leveraging third party retail and library channels, and project managing business-critical initiatives.


  • Driving sales of eBooks and digital audiobooks by working closely with internal and external commercial, creative and PR teams to develop and implement high impact, highly integrated marketing campaigns
  • Managing two managerlevel reports and working closely with the Creative Lead and wider team to deliver business goals
  • Able to confidently deputise for the Marketing Director in meetings, including with senior franchise stakeholders and key retail partners when required
  • Support reports in earlystage projects, such as campaign planning or onboarding new retail partners (attending meetings, giving guidance, overseeing partner calls etc)
  • Become expert on the franchise and its stakeholders to achieve results
  • Oversee global retail marketing approvals and allocate accounts and projects across the team, delivering accurate and efficient feedback
  • Ensuring that marketing information and assets are supplied to partners on time and to exacting quality standards

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and merchandising, most likely from the retail, publishing, technology, digital media or entertainment sectors
  • Integrated marketing campaign experience in product and retail channel marketing
  • A confident, experienced manager who is able to support, challenge and develop the team including experienced, Marketing Managerlevel staff
  • Effective, concise upward communicator to ensure that the Marketing Director is kept informed of key decisions and consulted on appropriate topics
  • Able to work across multiple projects simultaneously and deliver against tight deadlines, executing down to fine detail with appropriate attention to local market needs
  • A solid understanding of how to build internal and external relationships over the long term
  • Collaborative, organised and with strong attention to detail
  • Understanding of the importance of building a good team culture and taking an 'all handson deck' approach to your own work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
  • Global experience in relationship management and marketing would be beneficial, as would knowledge of the Harry Potter and wider Wizarding WorldTM canon
