Description

Following the Scottish Government/NSS Prisons Clinical IT Review, it was recommended that three regional prisons clinical IT facilitators should be recruited to work with existing NHS Board IT facilitators.

The facilitators will support the series of national change initiatives that will impact Prison Healthcare centres, by working with existing NHS Board IT facilitators and prison clinical staff.


NHS Forth Valley, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde (NHSGGC) and NHS Tayside are recruiting for three Senior Facilitators to join their Digital/eHealth Teams, to play a key role in providing the delivery of end user training and service facilitation across NHS Prison Healthcare.


The postholders will support the rollout of a target operating model for prison healthcare services, with key performance indicators and measurable outcomes.

Experience of innovative delivery methods of digital training, e-learning management systems would be desirable.

Each post holder will be required to travel between specific prisons in the region depending on health board appointed to.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.

NHS Forth Valley:
HMP Addiewell, HMP Edinburgh, HMP Stirling, HMP Glenochil, HMP Polmont


NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde:
HMP Kilmarnock, HMP Dumfries, HMP Barlinnie, HMP Low Moss, HMP Greenock, HMP Lillias, HMP Shotts


NHS Tayside:
HMP Perth, HMP Bella, HMP Castle Huntly, HMP Grampian, HMP Inverness
