About Our Client:
This organisation is a major player in the retail sector, operating on a national scale.
The company prides itself on its dedicated team of professionals who work tirelessly to ensure smooth operations in all its departments, including Accounting & Finance.
The Account Payable Clerk will;- Process all incoming invoices with accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure payments are up to date.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and handle any invoice disputes.
- Assist in monthly and yearly closing processes.
- Prepare reports detailing accounts payable status.
- Work closely with the finance team to improve payment procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.
- Support any additional responsibilities as needed within the Accounting & Finance department.
The Successful Applicant:
A successful Account Payable Clerk should have:
- A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of accounting software is a plus.
