Finance Manager, Creative agency, London Bridge, £65,000
We are working exclusively with a thriving acquisitive Consultancy Group who are looking for a Finance Manger to join their ambitious team

This is a newly created role that reports into the Group FD and with a dotted line into the CEO.

You will be tasked with both the financial control and commercial decision support of a very interesting business

The role:

  • Support billing process ensuring accurate and timely invoicing of projects
  • Manage credit control ensuring debt is chased and visibility of outstanding debts is provided to the business
  • Work with central finance team on staff expenses process in Rapport
  • Support Rapport project management system to ensure financial information is accurate and maintained appropriately e.g. projects set up appropriately and cost rates are up to date
  • Review and approve fortnightly payment run
  • Provide financial information for annual insurance renewals
  • Ultimately responsible for accuracy of monthly P&L and B/S and yearend cut off.
  • Support revenue recognition process ensuring timely billing of fees, accurate timesheets, and revenue accrued/deferred where applicable.
  • Ensure subcontractor accruals are maintained in line with work delivered.
  • Reconcile customer payments with sales invoices in Rapport
  • Managing relationship with central finance team, ensuring transactional and accounting issues are resolved and service levels are addressed.
  • Manage audit queries and ultimately responsible for audit sign off.
  • Review of yearend tax computation
  • Collaborate with central finance team on standardisation of processes
  • Support central finance team to ensure timely completion of management accounts.
  • Responsible for the delivery of management accounts and timely delivery to management team.

About you:

  • An individual who is confident, with good communication skills and is prepared to accept a challenge and project to develop in the role.
  • Someone comfortable rolling their sleeves up and getting involved in the detail when necessary
  • Energetic and selfmotivated, able to work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Track record of delivery
  • Demonstrates excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload to deliver against agreed deadlines.
  • Demonstrates good problemsolving skills uses initiative and proactively seeks alternative methods to resolve issues/problems.
