Proactive Maintenance Lead / 2nd / 3rd line Support
Maidstone
Up to £36k DOE
As the Proactive Maintenance Lead, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the performance, reliability, and security of our IT systems.
This role requires a blend of high-end 2nd line and 3rd line technical skills, along with leadership and strategic planning abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Monitoring and Maintenance: Regularly monitor IT systems to preemptively identify and resolve issues.
- Performance Optimisation: Implement strategies to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Incident Management: Lead the response to complex technical issues, providing expertise in troubleshooting and resolution.
- Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a proactive approach to system maintenance.
- Process Improvement: Continually assess and improve maintenance processes and procedures.
- Security Oversight: Ensure systems are secure and compliant with industry standards.
- Project Management: Lead and participate in projects aimed at system upgrades and enhancements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with other IT teams and stakeholders to align maintenance activities with business needs.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a focus on proactive system maintenance.
- Strong technical skills covering highend 2nd line and 3rd line support areas.
- Indepth knowledge of network infrastructure, server environments, virtualization technologies, and security protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows environments, Active Directory, and cloud technologies.
- Experience in leading and mentoring technical teams.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Desirable Qualifications:
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, ITIL, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
Experience in managing IT projects.
