ProTalent are currently working with a well-established and hugely respected accountancy practice to recruit a Forensic Accounting Manager for their team in the South East.

The role:


  • Own the planning, prioritising and allocation of all relevant client forensics work ensuring effective manager team workflow
  • Work on an advisory only basis where required
  • Complete complex assignments independently where only final partner sign off is required
  • Write and complete independent reports with no outside input, and be only named individual on (for instance) valuation reports
  • Ensure relevant client forensics work is managed within budget and is completed in line with published service line standards
  • Ensure SL wide preparation of bills for forensics work done and ensure timely sending to client
  • Maintain, defend & develop own client portfolio to ensure 'go to' status for current clients
  • Act as primary point of contact for key assignments for clients & external organisations
  • Ensure overall provision for high levels of client service is in place across the Forensics SL Leadership, People Management and Development
  • Ensure the defining and agreeing of formal objectives & development goals for all direct reports in line with the Forensics SL business plan
  • Provide input into the strategic direction of the Forensics service line and the overall Forensics annual business plan
  • Instigate appropriate action through manager team in response to above performance outcomes New Business Development
  • Support the Forensics SL in delivering the required new leads and SL incremental fee target via networking, meeting attendance, business pitches & leading or presenting at webinars
  • With a huge variety of clients, the successful applicant will build exposure and gain valuable technical experience

The applicant:


  • Qualified ACA / ACCA or qualified through experience
  • Five years PQE with at least three years in forensic accounting
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail, inquisitive, hard working and self driven
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel
  • Ability to deal with confidential information in a professional manner
