Oxfordshire County Council have an opportunity for an experienced
Learning Access Supervisor (Museum Resource Centre) to join our team. You will be working on a
part time, permanent basis (26hours per week) and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of
£33,820 - £36,298 pro-rata, per annum.

About the Learning Access Supervisor role:

Once fully recruited, the Learning and Access team will total five members of staff based at the Museum Resource Centre.

The team reports to the Museum Service Manager who has overall responsibility for the Oxfordshire Museum Service. The
Learning and Access Supervisor is supported by three officers and an administrator who they will also line manage.

The Supervisor will lead the team in refreshing our learning programmes and will support the delivery of activities both at oursites and within the community and at schools.

This role is integral to the development and delivery of our learning programmes.


The successful applicant will have experience of developing and delivering learning activities and be ready to contribute new ideas and have a flexible and positive approach.

They will enjoy leading others and be happy to work independently and as part ofthe small Learning and Access Team


What we are looking for in our ideal Business and Learning Access Supervisor:

  • Post graduate teaching qualification or equivalent relevant experience
  • Organisational skills and ability to adapt to change
  • At least 3 years experience of developing and/or delivering education access programmes in a museum/heritage context
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Experience of developing and delivering family learning and community engagement programmes
  • Good communication skills and ability to deliver high standards of verbal and written presentation
  • Sensitive to others with an ability to empathise with users
  • Ability to drive a van (not HGV) and hold a current clean driving licence and to travel around Oxfordshire and the wider region
  • Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings & weekends
  • Ability to assist with loading, transporting and setting up equipment
