Department:
The Logistics team is a core part of the Manheim business providing a world class Transport service to our customers both internal and external.
Role:
This is an exciting opportunity available at our new Coventry Hub centre.
You will ensure delivery of a safe, legally compliant and cost-efficient transport operation within the Transport Planning Office at Coventry site.
It will focus on following all recognised transport processes and additionally identify and develop new processes to meet the needs of the business, to control and despatch Transporter Drivers, maintain and develop external sub-contractor work, delivering a first-class service to our internal and external customers.
Skills:
- Previous experience of managing a fast moving Transport department
- An understanding of Fleet management, WTD and EU drivers rules beneficial
- Strong team player with good customer service skills,
- Excellent communication both written and verbal
- Able to adapt to change quickly
- Good geographical knowledge
- CPC Road Haulage is preferred
- Ability to plan efficiently and cost effectively
- Commercially aware
