The role is practically based with a high emphasis on multi-disciplinary team working and communication.

The post offers learning and development opportunities.

The post holder will need to be dynamic and passionate about nutrition.


You will be working to enhance the nutrition and hydration of the patient population and identify patient's that are at risk of malnutrition using a nutritional risk assessment as well as supporting the dietitians and nursing staff within the service.


The role will involve collecting information including diet history, and monitoring nutritional intake; encouraging patients at risk of malnutrition to achieve an adequate nutritional intake; assisting patients to eat and drink which may require feeding at the bedside; encouraging nourishing snacks and drinks; promoting protected mealtimes, and good hydration practices.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
