Rutherford Briant are recruiting for a Management Accountant for a hugely successful manufacturing and distribution business based in Basildon who are a household name in their specialist field.

The company has seen considerable growth over the past 5 yearsand they are now looking to add a Management Accountant who can have an immediate impact on the finance department.


Our client is ideally looking to recruit a fully qualified accounting professional (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent) who possesses solid experience of being involved in all aspects of management accounting.

They would also like to recruit an individual who hasprevious experience in managing/supervising a team.


What you will do:

  • Full responsibility for the management accounts.
  • Preparing monthly accounts and reporting to Head Office within group procedures.
  • Supervise and take full responsibility of the internal and/or external auditors.
  • Management of finance & operations staff (currently 3).
  • Budgeting and providing business managers with monthly reports.
  • Maintenance of cash flow & forecasting.
  • Cash management & bank reconciliation.
  • Corporation, PAYE & VAT Tax payment control with HMRC.
  • Payroll management & supervision.
  • Outsourced Logistics management.
  • Import entry & product costing.
  • Stock control supervision and capital employed management.
  • Implement, suggest & improve procedures in all areas of responsibilities.

What you will need:

  • Part Qualified/Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
  • At least 5 years of experience working in finance.
  • Solid experience in management accounting.
  • Experience within an international environment (ideal) will be liaising with Head Office in Barcelona frequently.
