If successful your primary responsibility is to accurately forecast customer demand for a defined product range, thereby supporting our requirement to meet and exceed our customer' expectations.

You will be located at our newly refurbished Global Head Office in Chiswick Park. This role offers an agile 3,2 working pattern with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

This role is available as a secondment for 7 months

What will be your key deliverables?

  • Meet weekly/monthly forecast accuracy critical metric targets
  • Chair monthly account review meetings with the commercial team to review and interrogate the accuracy of the forward forecast.
  • Attend weekly promotional alignment meetings with the commercial team and Collaboration ("implant") Managers to identify the most accurate forecast for the shortterm horizon.
  • Own the base rates for your product portfolio at a skucustomer level.
  • Lead the monthly Brand Demand Review for your brands & ensure periodic base forecast is reasonable for 12month horizon
  • Identify brand bias & input into monthly forecast guidance to drive an accurate bottom forecast from the account forecast
  • Support the Supply Planner to deliver 98.5% inbound service level
  • Manage short term capacity gaps with commercial teams / collaboration managers to ensure inbound service levels are improved
  • Control the allocation process, aligning allocation principles with S&OP Controller / MS&P & leading the daily execution with Care
  • Prevent waste & reduce product clearance through the weekly slow stock process.
  • Minimise raw material waste by supporting the product transition process, leading the raw material brief in the cross functional project meetings & working with the commercial team to sell through residuals.
  • Control & maintain master data within the planning system to ensure accuracy of plans
  • Action all master data setup & exceptions (ABC classification, forecastitem setup, history splitting conflicts) on a weekly basis
  • Attend Demand Planning forum to ensure all changes to work processes are aligned and documentation is amended accordingly
  • Multiskilling, learn to cover at least one other supply planning role
  • Visit factory sites at least twice a year to collaborate & improve relationships
  • In addition to the core role, Demand Planners are encouraged to take on additional project work to build the business. The projects will be dependent upon business requirements & the individual.
What do you need for this role?

Essential

  • Flexibility to go above and beyond where required to ensure deliver of business results
  • High degree of understanding of endtoend supply chain planning processes
  • IT literate with strong spreadsheet knowledge e.g. Excel
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • Happy to work independently and manage own workload, work under own initiative
  • Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams
  • Ability to prioritise workload & cope with pressure & a fast paced environment
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills across all levels of the organisation
Desirable

  • Degree qualified
  • Proven experience of working for an FMCG manufacturer in the role of demand planner.
  • Full awareness and understanding of the Sales & Operational Planning Processes.
  • Awareness of manufacturing production processes and capabilities
  • High degree of understanding of the business drivers and factors that impact on related critical metrics
  • Understanding and appreciation of master data
